Memorial Day

Everytime my Dad says it's time for an adventure there is some moaning and groaning, but it also always turns out to be fun. This time Dad decided it had been too long since we'd gone canoeing. We were planning on going all the way to Shoshone falls but I hadn't been feeling well so we took a shorter trip and had canoeing and lunch by Lucky Peak.

Like I said I was not feeling it that morning. After senior party going until 5 a.m. And having to sing in church and work in the nursery at 9 a.m. my body was still trying to recover.

Lisa and Dad took the first run.

Then Mom, Carrie and I went out. Notice that I got the job of sitting there and not being too sassy;)

Off we went!

I'm not afraid to be hideous.

Lunch was delicious. We sat around and talked about how much better food tastes when you're outside.  Then later that evening.....

My sunglasses made an appearance but you were only allowed to wear them if you did your rocker face! (Apparently headbanging was essential as well)

He already knows how to photobomb:)

I felt pretty cool.

Graduation part 3

For my few readers... I'm sorry. I'm sure you're getting sick of graduation pictures, but I've got to clear it from my system. Luckily I'll be leaving for Sweden in exactly TWO WEEKS!!! Then you will see pictures of  another country instead of maroon and silver everywhere:)

I'm a huge fan of this picture. I think it's easy to see why. As well as the following picture.

This cute girl loves Legally Blonde. When I played Elle she came and watched me. When I saw her a month or so later she pointed and whispered to her parents "that's Elle." She wants to get into acting next year and I wish her the best of luck! I'm so grateful I had a fan because she made me want to keep acting my little heart out!

Fist bump! I did it!!

All of these people have been such great friends when I needed them. I think that sums up graduation!

Oh and then there was the after party and despite the face I am making it was a lot of fun. It did however go until 5 a.m. and I had to sing in church at 9 a.m. and work in the Nursery the next morning. Needless to say Sunday was prime recovery time. Truly a day of rest.

Graduation part 2

Some more pictures and thank-yous are in order!

Some of my favorite up and coming seniors!!!

We had so much fun in seminary this year. I'm going to miss you Kelsey!!!

Just my Best Freckled Friend (I think between both our families there are at least 20 photos of the two of us haha)

These kids are all super cool and I feel quite lucky to call them my friends.

My parents are the best. They are always there for me. I know I was meant to come to their family. And I'm so grateful that I was raised by such wonderful people.

These are my sisters. Or at least the ones who are still home. And boy do I love them. They both drive me crazy some days but I'm going to miss them both so much. I'm so excited to go see Lisa's home in Sweden in just a couple weeks.

Basically my family is the best. They're weird and often disfunctional but I love them and us all together regardless.

Graduation

The day finally came!!!! It was a close call;) but I graduated! Hard to believe people can go from this...

to this..

(Yes those are all the same people in the same order)

Getting ready...

It's been decided that Linne will have to take a picture with me at every milestone. So you can expect to see her in the wedding photos someday.

Image Factory Banquet

As I've said before I am/was an actress. Our acting team at our school is called "Image Factory." At the end of each year we have a banquet to celebrate our top ten moments, awards, seniors and more. Each year we have a theme. This year's was BARGAIN BANQUET! So everything was supposed to be thrifed... except the cake because that would be disgusting.

Seniors presenting the top ten moments of the year.

It was bittersweet saying goodbye to a stage that has become my second home. It was exciting seeing my little sister in the same situation I was just a few years ago as a "newbie" to the acting club. And it was overwhelming to receive awards voted on by my peers and friends. It was a great end to a long, trying and incredibly fun journey.

Summer Kickoff

Today was my last official day of school!!!!! So exciting but kind of weird. Last night I went to my first real concert...

Do you see the cool cat on the far left? Yeah well he signed my ARM! He was just standing in the crowd like a normal concert attender when we noticed some people ask for his signature. We weren't sure it was him so our conversation went a little like this....

"Um excuse me sir, uh, are you in a band?"
"....yeah"
"Oh okay, um which one?"
"...........................Imagine Dragons."
"OH MY GOSH I THOUGHT I RECOGNIZED YOU BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO SAY ANYTHING!!!! Will you sign our arms?"
"Your arms? Just no tattoos, okay?"

Anyway it was an awesome night. I'm hidden in the picture above. You can try to find me. It's sort of like "Where's Waldo?" :) Hope your summer started out as rad as mine!

p.s. thank you to all those who I stole pictures from!

On growing up...

This weird thing happens when you realize that you're almost done with high school. At least it did for me. I spent almost all four years threatening to "drop out" or "become a trophy wife" or just give up because I hated high school. Looking back though I wish I would have tried to enjoy it more. All that time I just wanted to grow up....

...Then I turned 18 and realized I just wanted to be a little kid again (hence the kitty cake). But there's nothing I can do about growing up. So the best thing to do is enjoy where I am now!!! Because it's pretty glorious to be able to buy dry ice and spray paint and sign my own waivers :)
