The Castle

Today we went to visit what they call The Castle. But it's actually just a famous summer house of a successful salesman haha.  We also went on a walk through the woods and it was gorgeous. Big surprise right? hahah

Where they dry grass for the horses.

Jurassic park, anyone?

It was another rainy day, hence the rain coat.

Outdoor play. You can see all the actors backstage:)

Swedish SHEEP! So cute.

...okay I was a little obsessed with them.

The castle.

We also had a fika. Which is usually coffee and some sweet pastry. I had a vanilla and almond bun with orange lemonade.

A bigger outdoor play with rain cover of course.

Look at the little baby frog we found too! It was an adventure:)

Confessions of a Crazy Cat Lady

The truth is, I love cats. And I'm not sorry if that keeps me single for quite some time. I just adore cats. Yesterday while in the Mall I made arguable the best purchase in my young life. Everyone, say hello to my "MEOW OR NEVER" shirt. It's a beauty.

Can you just, I mean, look at it!!!!! It looks like the cat is screaming "MEOW OR NEVER!!!!!" It's so dorky. And so perfect for me. Here is the evidence of me loving cats. A lot.

DUMLE!

CASPIAN!!!!

And my best friend. Linne. AKA Linerd Skinnerd. Linnekins. Linnylin. The devil. LINAY. Linny linny lin. And more. She is sassy and mean, but I adore her. As soon as I live somewhere that allows cats she is moving back in with me. Going away from her for college will be torture.

There are very few others who understand my craziness. But some do.

Carrie puts up with the madness (notice Linne creeping with glowing eyes.)

Preston tries to understand (this is our prom picture).

Diana loves cats like I do. And we've agreed someday when we're old, we'll move in together and have MILLIONS of cats... okay that's an exaggeration but we will be crazy cat ladies together.  And there is someone just as crazy as me... crazy enough to buy the same shirt.

Thank you Lisa for understanding me.

Oh we also went to town today and went shopping because you know, it's candy day. But it was pouring rain. So here is a picture of me looking bald.

I hope you have a great day filled with cats, because I love them:)

Swedish No-Bakes and my Swedish Boyfriend

Today Lisa and I made the Swedish version of no-bakes. They call them chokladbollar. Chocolate balls. But we're waiting until after dinner to eat them so we'll see how they taste:) We also went to the mall today. But my findings there will be in another post entirely its own.

Everyone is so healthy.

Lisa is adorable.

Pearl sugar and shredded coconut to dip them in.

YAY! We did it.... Oh and here is my Swedish boyfriend.

Sometimes when he wants my attention he won't let go of me.

We're in love.

sick.sick.sick.

Sorry about not blogging yesterday but I got a migraine and slept away a lot of the day. I'm still feeling a little crummy today but I decided I couldn't let that stop me. We took a ferry over to an island and it was gorgeous. I just kept gasping at how beautiful it was.

Here's a map of the island with all the walking paths you can take.

The water was so clear.

This translates to the "needle's eye." You'll see why they call this part of the path that.

You can tell I've been sick by the lack of makeup, hair done or any sort of regard for my hygiene.

The stairs were a little bit sketchy sometimes.

Please ignore me and enjoy the field of wildflowers. Seriously breathtaking.

You know, holes in the ground are cool and such.

I hope you aren't sick of the pictures yet because I took about a zillion pictures of the flowers next. I couldn't resist when they were so pretty against the rock and ocean. Oh yeah, across that is Denmark. No big deal.

Hidden Path up to the old prison.

The wind blowing me away.

The old prison.

Maybe not the best shoes for this.

Yeah that is not edited at all.

Is this place even real?

Every once in awhile I'll just be sitting and thinking and then I think "wait, what the heck, I'm in Sweden.... Is this real? Am I honestly half way around the world from where I grew up? How is that possible?" It's a really weird feeling. And I think it'll be even more odd coming back.

I saw those purple flowers and thought of you Mama Llama:)

"Fisherman's street."

I thought this was funny. It says "Mon-Thurs: 12- Late, Fri-Sat:  12-3, and Sunday 12- we'll see...:)" hahah

I FINALLY got a picture with Lisa's other cat. Dumle. He's very timid and just until recently he has been rather weary of me. As you can see he's still camera shy. But I think he's adorable and I'm so happy he's warming up to me.

Yes I know I'm a crazy cat lady.
