Snow Cones for Days

I feel like more and more of my posts are described by pictures and not words. I hope you're all down with that because I don't feel like writing much these lazy summer days.

Yum yum yum..... ignore my chipped nail polish please and thank you:)

The Rope Swing

I love the water. And this seemed to be the epitome of Idaho. A makeshift rope swing over the Boise river. Hours of free fun. I LOVED IT!

Thank you Micayla for the pictures.

Raspberries.

Here's the thing.... Raspberries grow like crazy here.

It's a serious business.

Ignore the Christmas bowl being used in July.

And I was caught wearing my Swedish pants. They seem to be a crowd-pleaser.

I Love Swimming

You think with all the time I spend in the pool teaching swimming lessons I would be sick of the water, but alas I'm kind of in love with the water. Always have been. Always will be.

Also, Carrie is a babe.

I seriously adore her. And her Alfalfa hairdo.

Outtakes

So I know that sometimes I try to make things look like all peaches and roses. But here's the thing, I had a lot of outtakes. Today I will let you see some of them.

Exhibit A: before and after my long flight to Sweden.

ready to go...

wondering what time it is and if I'm still alive after being crammed into an aircraft thousands of feet above the ground. Let me just say, I really REALLY could do without the travelling part of travelling.

Exhibit B: A lovely sunset over Gothenburg.

And then this crazy goon crept in.

Exhibit C: Migraine Day.

'Nuff said.

Exhibit D: The wind made me look pregnant in front of the castle.

Exhibit E: Remember the cute little lamb we found in Stockholm? Yeah it really wasn't that sweet to me.

Running away from me. Also look at my dress and tennis shoes. What was I thinking?

Exhibit F: Sometimes, I try to take pictures while I'm walking...

I should be band from taking photos of myself.

Exhibit G: I love candy.

Ready to Set Sail

Maybe it's really normal but I feel like I'm in limbo. Not really used to home but I don't belong in Göteborg anymore. And perhaps it's time for me to begin a new advenure, but I'll try to enjoy my time here. The things getting me through this iota of a problem are...

1) Pandora. Mostly the Ingrid Michaelson station. I'm sort of obsessed. And when I realized they didn't stream music to Sweden my face was like....

"Are you for serious Pandora? You don't stream music to Sweden? Don't you believe in equal rights? Whatevs. Whatevvvssss."

 2) Hanging out with my BFF. This was us doing our facebook teenage girl post picture. Pretty sure we nailed it.

And 3) Knowing that adventures are coming my way and soon I will wish that I could go back to lazy summer days in my quiet little hometown. My computer background right now is this...

And sometimes ships have to wait to sail until they are ready. So I'll wait a little longer.

My Mustache Men

Coming home has been really weird. It really is hard adjusting to normal life again. But one thing that's helped me get back to my norm is these cuties. I really do love my nephews.

"Crazy eyes"

Sometimes they even let me join in on the fun.

Jet lag is kicking my butt: Part 2

Sorry it's been awhile but the jet lag coming back has been WAY worse. I'm exhausted most of the day and often wake up in the night feeling like I need to get up because I've slept in... and it's like 4 in the morning. Anyway I did make it home and it's really bitter sweet. I love my friends and family and cat, but it's been really odd not being with Lisa and her family. I really do love them.

Me in the background. You can see that 20+ hours of travelling doesn't do great things for a person. But I'm extremely grateful to have been able to travel so safely and quickly really. I can't imagine how long it took people before airplanes.

I really did miss these crazy cats. I was unaware that so much awkwardness could exist in a photo, but we made it happen. Congrats.
