Dear Family and Friends,
This week was good and pretty normal.
Hermana Pichardo went back to Temple Square so we have a new Temple Square Sister. Sister Yunda from Ecuador!
It is always sad to say goodbye. All the of people I originally knew in Galveston are now gone! It makes it more real that I've been here for about 4 months now. Will I be staying longer? Or leaving the island?
Mostly it was just really cold this week. Humidity is the worst! Also my hair is growing. I'm really sorry about the lack of content in this email.
One really amazing thing that happened this week was that we taught Paloma about the Atonement and invited her to pray about baptism for the 28th of March. She is still praying but know she wants to be baptized! She feels the Spirit every time we come to visit her. Please pray that she will be able to get an answer!
Angel is also praying about baptism. She knows she wants to get married in the temple someday! We are still trying to help Ramon get to the temple so please keep him in your prayers as well.
We have been working a lot with our members lately. They are AMAZING! We taught a member last week about the Restoration again and felt prompted to give her a Book of Mormon to share with a friend. This week when we ate with her, she said she had given the Book of Mormon to her friend and invited her to read the Introduction and begin with a prayer. She's also going to invite her to eat dinner with us tomorrow!!! So amazing!
This was after 3 hours in the rain:) The phone ripped the pocket of my rain coat haha.
Something that I am learning is that our lives although very different, are all very similar. We are all seeking happiness. We all have trials. We all have moments of despair and moments of great joy. And through it all if we have a foundation in Christ, we won't ever really fall. It will be hard for sure. Life is challenging. But it is also joyful.
I know that our lives are joyful when we focus on Jesus Christ and build a foundation of faith in Him.
